ROYAL NEW ZEALAND ARMY MEDICAL CORP - 3 FIELD AMBULANCE
I joined the Territorials in my first year at University, 1980/81. It provided some spending money for the following year and also gave me somewhere to stay over the holidays. Basic training was just like the old movies with the drill sergeant shouting stupid things loudly. I had 4 years in the TF and enjoyed the basic training, corp training and annual camps. At the end of basic training I was very fit, probably at my peak physically.
